Committee

The Australian Lipid Society is governed by a management committee comprising four office holders - President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer - elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. The current committee was elected at the Society’s inaugural AGM in February 2026.

General Members

The constitution provides for up to two auxiliary general committee members in addition to the office holders. These positions are currently vacant and will be filled at future Annual General Meetings.

Term of Office

Committee terms align with the Australian Lipid Meeting (ALM) cycle. Each term commences at the closure of an ALM and concludes at the closure of the subsequent meeting, to a maximum of two years. Elections are held at the Annual General Meeting, typically convened in conjunction with the ALM.
